This armor however increase the Alex's total weight to a shocking 95 tons, hampering its maneuverability and mobility to a certain degree, although measures were taken to reduce these negative impacts. The RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex" was developed by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War as a mobile suit specifically for Newtypes.
